WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Finance (f/m/d) – Tenure Track at WHU Campus Vallendar, starting March 1, 2027 or later.

WHU has more than 50 faculty members in the fields of economics, entrepreneurship and innovation, finance and accounting, management, marketing and sales, and supply chain management. Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Performing research in the fields of household finance, investments and/or sustainable finance and publishing in leading research journals
  • Contributing to research activities of the newly established Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurial Families, which focuses on the fields of research mentioned above
  • Conducting teaching across the various WHU degree programs (in English)
  • Mentoring theses (Bachelor, Master, MBA)
  • Performing services to the academic community

The position is based in the Finance & Accounting Group and will be associated with the newly established Center of Excellence for Entrepreneurial Families.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or equivalent academic qualification in finance or a closely related discipline
  • Outstanding research record as evidenced by publications in leading academic journals, presentations at excellent conferences, and/or a promising research pipeline
  • Teaching experience (especially in English)
  • Outstanding English communication skills
  • International experience is advantageous
