Tenure Track Assistant Professor (W2) in Entrepreneurial Management
The Technical University of Munich (TUM) invites applications for the position of Tenure Track Assistant Professor in »Entrepreneurial Management« to begin as soon as possible. The position is a W2 fixed-term (6-year) tenure-track professorship with the possibility for promotion to a tenured W3. The professorship is endowed by the Dieter Schwarz Stiftung.
Scientific Environment
The professorship will be assigned to the TUM School of Management and located at TUM’s Garching Campus as part of the School’s Entrepreneurship Research Institute (ERI).
The TUM School of Management is one of the leading management schools in Germany and internationally, with a research and teaching focus at the interface of management and technology. Faculty members publish regularly in leading journals across the departments Finance & Accounting, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Strategy and Leadership, Economics and Policy, and Operations & Technology, while maintaining close interdisciplinary ties with other schools and industry.
Responsibilities
- Research and teaching in Entrepreneurial Management
- Acquisition of third-party funding
- Promotion of early-career scientists
The position seeks an expert in Entrepreneurial Management, with applications welcomed from specializations such as:
- Management of start-ups and emerging enterprises
- Management of enterprise growth
- Management of entrepreneurial change in established companies
Teaching responsibilities include courses in the school’s bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs, particularly in:
- Bachelor in Management & Technology
- Master in Management & Technology
- Master in Management
Contributions to interdisciplinary programs offered by other schools are also expected. Courses in entrepreneurial prototyping and entrepreneurial management in growing ventures are of special interest.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated initial scientific achievements and capacity for independent research at the highest international level
- University degree and an outstanding doctoral degree (or equivalent scientific qualification)
- Pedagogical aptitude
