At the Faculty of Psychology, a University Professorship – W 2 in Developmental Psychology is to be appointed with effect from 1 August 2028.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Conduct relevant research in developmental psychology in at least one area aligned with the faculty’s and university’s research clusters, evidenced by publications in international peer-reviewed journals
- Secure external funding
- Maintain international visibility and collaboration, adhering to open and transparent science standards
- Teach in the faculty’s bachelor’s and master’s degree programs as well as micro-credentials, representing the full scope of the discipline
- Teach developmental psychology in a future bachelor’s program in psychology (including clinical psychology, in line with German psychotherapist licensing requirements), with contributions to developmental psychopathology and developmental assessment
- Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary study programs across faculties and participate in academic self-governance
- Actively prepare and implement innovative teaching and learning formats in accordance with the university’s quality standards, incorporating modern educational technologies (digital and in-person)
Qualifications
- German language proficiency at C1 level (CEFR), enabling effective teaching in German
- Academic achievement in accordance with Section 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz NRW)
