Senior/Staff Golang Software Engineer (m/f/d)

At home24, we aren't just selling furniture; we are engineering the future of how home and living data is handled across Europe. Together with our partner companies within the GIGA purchase group, we are building a brand-new Product Data Onboarding Platform from scratch - a true Greenfield project.
We are looking for an execution-focused Senior/Staff Golang Software Engineer to join our high-performance team in Berlin. Our mission is to leverage state-of-the-art technology to create a seamless, best-in-class experience for suppliers and retailers. The vision is clear: we are building the Tier-1 backend services that will launch our MVP in the second half of this year. Activities

• Drive the GIGA Evolution: Manage the development of robust, Tier-1 backend services using Go to power our brand-new Master Data Platform
• Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for your work—from building the initial concept and RFC to implementation, testing, and monitoring
• High-Performance Integration: Collaborate with Frontend teams to build high-efficiency APIs that ensure smooth integration across our entire ecosystem
• Modern Tooling & AI: Utilize next-gen development practices; as a proficient AI user, you'll leverage tools like ClaudeCode/Codex to bypass the mundane and focus on complex architectural problems
• Quality & Mentorship: Write clean, testable code and foster a culture of excellence through technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions

Requirements

• Go Specialist: You have 4+ years of professional experience in Go (Golang)
• Web development expert: 8+ years in general web development
• Complex System Builder: You have a proven track record of building and maintaining scalable services and APIs for complex web applications.
• Infrastructure Savvy: You are comfortable with cloud-based infrastructure (ideally Azure) and IaaC
• Team-player: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together“.
• Team management experience is a plus

Team

You will become part of a dynamic "startup-within-corporate" unit at home24. We are a high-impact team of currently around ten people, building the new Product Data Onboarding platform for the GIGA Group entirely from the ground up.
