Senior UX/UI Designer for Leica FOTOS/LUX App (all genders)

At Leica Mobile, we build the Leica FOTOS and Leica LUX apps as core parts of the Leica ecosystem. Our teams own these products end to end, from early discovery to final delivery, and continuously evolve them for hundreds of thousands of users worldwide. Leica FOTOS is the mobile companion to Leica cameras, while Leica LUX brings Leica's photographic expertise to the iPhone. We work in a Build–Measure–Learn mindset, combining strong product thinking, real user insights, and Leica's uncompromising standards of user experience.
Since 2018, Leica FOTOS has set the benchmark for premium connectivity and user experience in the camera industry and plays a central role in how photographers interact with their cameras, images, and the broader Leica ecosystem. As Senior UX/UI Designer, you own the user experience of the Leica FOTOS app and work in a small, fast-moving, cross-functional product team. You will also collaborate closely with the Leica LUX team to ensure a consistent, high-quality experience across Leica's mobile products.

Senior UX/UI Designer for Leica FOTOS/LUX App (all genders)

• Core membership in the Leica FOTOS product team, working closely with product and engineering.
• End-to-end ownership of the user experience for hundreds of thousands of monthly active users.
• Design across the full process — from wireframes and prototypes to high-fidelity user interfaces.
• Development and maintenance of design systems and guidelines to ensure consistency across platforms.
• Close collaboration with the design teams of Leica LUX and Leica Camera to ensure a coherent experience.

• A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality app design and clear design thinking.
• Master's degree in Digital Design or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience designing consumer products.
• Very good knowledge of Figma and experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g. ProtoPie).
• Solid understanding of user-centered design, usability, and interaction design.
• High quality awareness and a strong sense of craftsmanship.
• Enjoyment of working in small, autonomous teams with a high level of ownership.
• Openness to feedback combined with the ability to confidently explain and defend design decisions.
• Interest in photography and premium hardware products is an advantage, but not required.
