
Senior Global Category Manager (all genders) - Inklusiver Job
Your Tasks
As a Senior Global Category Manager for Raw Materials you are responsible for developing global and integrated material sourcing strategies, defining technology roadmaps, driving scale and standardization globally and for improving our global governance. You will foster innovation and drive spend opportunities with our business partners through strong supplier relations. The overall target is to maximize theProcurement value contribution (e.g. cost development, resilience, sustainability). As a functional lead for Procurement colleagues especially in the field of category strategy creation and deployment, you will be working in a very dynamic environment requiring high levels of agility whilst pursuing the realization of strategic targets. In this role you are reporting to the Director Procurement Raw Materials.
Your tasks include:
- Definition, alignment and deployment of procurement strategy for your defined category cluster.
- Functionally leading relevant Procurement colleagues as well as further involved experts incl. commodity expertise, category strategy definition and deployment.
- Managing cross-functional and/or strategic procurement projects beyond Raw Materials Procurement.
- Continuously monitoring opportunities and challenging status quo to maximize
- Procurement value contribution in your area of responsibility.
- Actively identifying potentials within area of responsibility in close conjunction with internal stakeholders (i.e. R&D, Quality).
- Managing senior stakeholders.
- Driving development and implementation of processes to identify, monitor and mitigate risks within your area of responsibility.
- Drive process development with regards to standardization, efficiency, automation, digitalization.
- Responsible for compliance with legal requirements, Beiersdorf Procurement and non-Procurement procedures within area of responsibility.
- Procurement ambassador.
Your Profile
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Chemistry or other relevant major.
- Several years of work experience in relevant industries.
- Proven track record in Procurement, preferably in Direct Material Procurement.
- Team player, accustomed to working in cross-functional and international teams.
- Proven strength in senior stakeholder management along with strong communication skills.
- Proven track record in disciplinary or functional leadership.
- High level of independence.
- Disruptive thinking, eager to challenges status quo and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Analytical skills and target oriented working methods.
- Fluent English skills required, other languages are a plus.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office package and SAP.
