Manager / Director – Institutional Sales International (m/f/d)

Munich Private Equity Partners (MPEP) is a specialist for private equity fund investments in the lower mid-market buyout segment and manages assets of EUR 2.7 billion. The product offering for institutional investors consists of carefully selected fund of funds portfolios with an exclusive focus on primary buyout funds in Europe and North America. Since its foundation in 2011, MPEP has made more than 100 buyout fund investments, 95 percent of which were significantly oversubscribed.

MPEP has offices in Munich and Luxembourg.

• Actively acquiring and managing institutional clients in international markets, with a intended focus on Europe (excluding Germany)
• Establishing, developing and managing relationships with international and local placement agents and distribution partners (sales multipliers)
• Conducting market analysis and further developing the overarching distribution strategy in selected markets (client requirements, products, markets, client groups, channels, etc.)
• Participation in international conferences, investor events, and industry gatherings, as well as preparation for and participation in investor webinars and annual investor meetings

• University degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a comparable education
• Several years of relevant experience (3+ years) and a proven track record (“start-to-finish”) in acquiring and managing institutional investors, ideally in the alternatives / private equity space
• An established and robust international network of institutional investors
• Very good knowledge of capital markets, finance and asset management, ideally with experience in private equity
• High level of initiative, strong sales orientation and entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written; additional language skills, such as Spanish, French, German, or Italian are a plus
• Willingness to travel internationally
