Tasks

Advise customers as a technical specialist to resolve issues related to system and process engineering.

Prevent production interruptions by implementing preventive maintenance, managing spare-part inventories and driving modernization measures.

Inspect and record safety-critical installations, ensuring all documentation meets the relevant standards.

Assist with service order workflows by providing technical input for quotations and proposals.

Commission equipment on-site and guarantee reliable, trouble-free operation at customer locations.

Deliver application training and provide hands-on support so customers can use systems efficiently.

Act as the primary technical contact for customer queries, coordinating solutions with internal teams to deliver the best outcome.
Profile

Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, or equivalent vocational qualification (e.g., state-certified technician). Comparable professional experience in technical field service is also acceptable.

Preferably experienced with vacuum and plasma technologies.

Familiarity with PLCs, VPD, control electronics, sensors, automation and robot handling is a plus.

Comfortable using digital tools (service apps, ticketing and ERP systems) as part of daily work.

Strong communication skills in German and English.

Customer-focused, independent worker with a practical, hands-on approach.

Willingness to travel regularly and to represent the company professionally in an international environment.
