These professorships have been established within the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster and the framework of the German Excellence Strategy.
One position will be filled in an area of theoretical mathematics, the other in an area of applied mathematics.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Participation in study programmes with a teaching load of 9 hours per week.
• Research and teaching with a profile that ideally connects different mathematical fields.
• Enhancement and complementation of existing research groups at Mathematics Münster.
• Openness to interdisciplinary collaborations with other scientific groups in Münster.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in mathematics or a related field.
• Strong research record and appropriate teaching experience.
• Academic achievements as a Juniorprofessor (assistant professor), in a Habilitation (postdoctoral qualification), or in a research position at a university, non-university research institute, or in business, administration, or other relevant fields in Germany or abroad.
