App Engineer (m/f/d) - onsite in Hamburg or Berlin
We are looking for a App Engineer (m/f/d) for different seniority levels – from Medior, Senior to Principal* – to join our App & Web Team and help build the fastest and most intuitive shopping app using a brand-new tech stack. Our products are visited by over 11 million active users every month, and our goal is to provide a "state of the art" customer-facing shopping experience.
* For the Principal level the salary will be discussed in the interview.
Activities
- Development: Build and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android using Dart and Flutter
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and QA to ship new high-impact features
- Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions, drive technical discussions, and ensure long-term code maintainability
- Innovation: Introduce new technologies, tools, or processes to improve developer productivity and product quality
- Leadership (for Staff/Principal levels): Drive technical alignment across all app teams and act as a primary technical lead reporting to the Director of Engineering
Requirements
- Experience: You have 4+ years of programming experience (8+ for Principal), including a strong focus on mobile app development
- Tech Stack: Expert-level knowledge of Dart and Flutter is required
- Quality Focus: You write well-structured, efficient code and are experienced with unit/golden tests and CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, fastlane)
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex, non-standard technical problems
- Mindset: High degree of autonomy, ownership, and a team-player attitude
