
Team Lead Procurement (m/f/d)
Your tasks
As Team Lead Procurement you will be responsible for managing a procurement strategy that contributes to scalable and cost-efficient order management that can grow with our complex product portfolio. You will coordinate the company's procurement strategy and guidelines and ensure that these are successfully implemented to support procurement in line with our growth plan. You will also be responsible for managing execution of procurement tasks. Our portfolio is a blend of direct sourced raw materials as well as co-manufactured finished products.
As Team Lead Procurement you will lead a team of buyers working closely with our product development, product management and supply chain management (operational purchasing) teams, as well as our finance, quality and logistics teams.
Your tasks will include:
- Analysing the current procurement situation and developing and implementing procurement strategies with the aim of controlling and optimising costs while maintaining high product quality
- You will be responsible for procurement for both existing and new product developments, while ensuring high quality in line with KoRo values. In doing so, you will work closely with product development and product management
- You will carry out tendering processes and negotiate with existing and new suppliers
- You will analyse the market and identify risks and opportunities at an early stage, which you will promptly incorporate into the procurement strategy
- You will manage and supervise procurement projects and the procurement team, including their leadership and training, as well as the recruitment of new employees You will also be responsible for optimising team performance and workflows
- You will design new processes and automate existing structures within the department
Your profile
- Degree in business administration or comparable qualification
- At least 6 years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the food or FMCG sector
- You live in Berlin or are willing to relocate to Berlin for your new position
- You are fluent in German and English
- Excellent analytical and communication skills and affinity for processes.
