"Senior" Software Developer
DeepSkill is looking for an experienced Software Developer (m/f/d) who will use modern technologies to develop and enhance innovative solutions for our learning platform. Activities
- Solution-oriented conception and implementation of applications for our learning platform.
- Continuous improvement and further development of our software on a globally accessible infrastructure.
- End-to-end responsibility for software features, including requirement clarification, software design, programming, code reviews, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Responsibility for software design, programming, code reviews, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Performance optimization and architectural improvements to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Active collaboration and regular communication with cross-functional teams (Product, UX/UI, Sales) to address technical requirements, feature planning, and issue resolution.
- Optionally contribute to shaping DeepSkill’s mid- and long-term technology strategy.
Requirements
Hard skills:
- Several years of professional experience in full-stack software development using modern technologies, such as React/Vue/NextJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, SCSS/SASS, relational and/or NoSQL databases, and REST APIs.
- Solid experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker containerization, and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub) and modern deployment workflows.
- Experience or enthusiasm for integrating AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity and innovation is a strong plus.
- Excellent command of English; German skills are a plus.

Team
You will be joining a close-knit tech team led by our Head of Technology, working alongside two experienced developers. We are regularly supported by an intern or working student, bringing fresh perspectives and additional capacity. While some of your teammates are based in Hamburg and Berlin, we are currently looking for on-site support in Cologne to strengthen our local presence and foster even closer collaboration.
