Head of Testing
MOTOR Ai is a Berlin-based deep-tech startup transforming the way autonomous driving works.
We're not just building smarter vehicles — we’re developing one of the first certifiable Level 4 autonomy systems in Europe, grounded in cognitive neuroscience and capable of navigating real-world, complex traffic scenarios.
Our technology doesn’t just recognize — it reasons. That means safer, faster, and more adaptable autonomy — especially in environments where traditional AI struggles.
Join our diverse and fast-growing team of engineers, scientists, and visionaries as we shape the future of mobility. At MOTOR Ai, your work will have real impact and your ideas will help drive autonomous driving into the next era.
We are seeking an experienced Verification & Validation (V&V) Lead to spearhead the
testing efforts for our Level 4 Automated Driving System (ADS). In this critical role, you
will be responsible for defining and executing the complete V&V strategy, from
high-level planning and stakeholder alignment to hands-on test execution and
infrastructure management. You will be in charge of ensuring our systems are robust,
reliable, and safe by managing all verification activities, driving test automation, and
fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Aufgaben
● Lead the overall V&V strategy, including the selection of tools and processes to
build an adaptable and efficient test environment.
● Develop and own system verification and integration plans, collaborating directly
with development teams and project stakeholders to align on goals.
● Define clear acceptance criteria for system requirements in partnership with
product managers and engineers.
● Manage team capacity and competence planning to ensure resources are
aligned with project needs.
● Create and execute detailed test cases for the validation of systems, hardware,
and software.
● Drive test automation by designing automation schemes and integrating them
into our CI/CD pipelines.
● Support and maintain test infrastructure, equipment, and tools, while constantly
innovating on existing solutions.
● Analyze test results, identify risks, prepare verification reports, and communicate
key metrics to stakeholders and management.
Qualifikation
● A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Software, Computer, Electrical, or
Electronics) or a relevant technical field.
● A minimum of seven years of hands-on testing experience within the Automotive
ADAS domain.
● Hands-on experience in the verification and validation of safety-critical systems
according to the ISO 26262 standard.
● Proven experience in leading initiatives and fostering collaboration across
different functional teams.
● Strong, hands-on programming and scripting ability in C++ and Python.
● Practical experience developing test automation and performing both
Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) tests.
● Solid understanding of automotive communication protocols, including CAN and
Ethernet.
● Strong knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and their core
concepts.
● Practical exposure to ASPICE and agile development methodologies.
● It is preferred that candidates have hands-on experience with simulation
platforms like CARLA and middleware such as ROS2.
● Experience or knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR and the QNX operating system.
