We are looking for a Staff/Senior DevOps Engineer who will join our Cloud Platform Unit at SCAYLE (onsite Hamburg/Berlin) and have a transformative influence on the way we build, operate and run our platform. The Cloud Platform Unit is responsible for managing our global SaaS headless e-commerce multi-tenant platform, ensuring uninterrupted 24/7 availability and proactively advancing it.
Activities
- Maintain and continuously improve our AWS infrastructure using IaC
- Design and manage microservices deployment with Docker and Kubernetes for efficient scaling and collaborate with agile teams to deploy new features and enhancements.
- Automate deployment workflows using tools like GitlabCI and Terraform, while maintaining documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational processes.
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions across integration, staging, and live environments to proactively identify and resolve issues, and respond swiftly to system alerts and incidents.
- Closely collaborate with internal application teams enabling them to use the platform
- Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate new technologies to enhance platform performance and reliability
- Implement security best practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience for Senior, at least 7+ years for Staff.
- Proficiency in Terraform & Terragrunt
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes & Helm
- Ability to write and read Go code (experience with Python is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, communication, mentorship, ownership, and autonomy skills.

We are the Cloud Platform Unit at SCAYLE, responsible for managing our global SaaS headless e-commerce multi-tenant platform. We ensure uninterrupted 24/7 availability and proactively advance the platform by adding capabilities or improving existing ones. We support the development organization with running the SaaS product on the platform.
