(Senior) Visual Designer (all genders) - 50-100%
koppla is building the next-gen collaborative scheduling platform for construction, helping project managers keep projects on time by identifying delays and disruptions before they impact timelines.
We are looking for a Visual Designer to become the guardian of koppla's brand - owning and evolving our visual presence across every single marketing touchpoint, from trade fair booths to website landing pages to LinkedIn posts. You'll step into an established brand with a solid design system, and make a real impact as a core in-house team member in a fast-moving B2B SaaS startup that's transforming one of the world's largest industries.
We want someone who genuinely cares about koppla's brand - who takes pride in nurturing and evolving it over time, and who brings the seniority and confidence to help shape how we show up to the world.
Compensation: €65-80k gross annual salary for 100% FTE + 15-25% of your base salary in equity on top
Location: Berlin, hybrid with 2+ office days/week
Activities
You'll own everything visual on the marketing and brand side - print, digital, video, events, web. The scope is broad by design, and we need someone who thrives across the full range and knows how to navigate it.
- Presentations & one-pagers: Design compelling sales decks, one-pagers, and custom info materials from scratch - you own quality end-to-end, not just template maintenance
- Website: Build new landing pages and optimize existing ones in Framer; collaborate closely with the team on structure, content, and SEO
- Trade fair & event design: Develop booth concepts (or brief external suppliers), create print-ready files, and manage full stakeholder communication - including project coordination for larger events
- Print production: Design and adapt print materials from scratch (brochures, business cards, merch, banners, etc.) and prepare production-ready files
- Brand ownership & collaboration: Work closely with product designers, provide clear brand feedback, and actively contribute when deliverables don't meet CD standards
- Brand development: Beyond maintaining the existing brand, you'll have the opportunity to continuously evolve it together with the team - bringing fresh thinking while staying true to what makes koppla, koppla
- Social media (LinkedIn): Create on-brand post visuals based on provided copy; own design quality across all LinkedIn content
- Photography & video: Edit video content (intros, outros, subtitles), accompany shoots, capture footage on construction sites when needed - and be comfortable picking up a camera yourself
- Special & ad-hoc projects: Jump into spontaneous creative tasks (team photo shoots, event branding, site banners) - you're comfortable with "just make it happen" moments
Requirements
You're a mid-level to early senior, insanely versatile visual designer who combines strong craft with a pragmatic, hands-on attitude. You cover the full spectrum - print, digital stills, motion, video, photography, presentations - and you're comfortable being the one person who owns it all. Most importantly, you have a strong brand sensibility and the confidence to speak up for it.
In practice, this means you'll work closely with colleagues who don't have a design background, and you'll need to advocate clearly and constructively for what's right for the brand - even when it means saying no or proposing a better direction. You're not just executing briefs; you're shaping how koppla looks and feels to the world.
You are likely a great fit if:
- You have multiple years of experience as a Visual or Graphic Designer, ideally in a B2B SaaS or agency context
- You bring genuine seniority - you can work autonomously, set your own quality bar, and confidently push back on off-brand requests
- You are proficient in Figma and have hands-on experience with Framer (or are eager to learn it quickly) and are a pro in Adobe Creative Suite
- You're comfortable across the full creative spectrum: pixel-perfect digital assets, print-ready production files, motion graphics, video editing, and photography
- You have strong instincts for brand consistency and take personal ownership of how the brand shows up - in every format, every channel
- You can work independently and reliably, managing your own time across multiple concurrent projects without losing quality
- You have experience with LinkedIn content design and understand what performs on the platform
- Experience with SEO-informed design decisions or web content is a bonus
- You communicate clearly in German (C1) and/or English and enjoy working closely with a small, cross-functional team
- Beyond the role-specific requirements, you also see your own values reflected in our culture playbook.
