As the only full-time member of the marketing team, you will take responsibility for the strategic and operational development of our marketing activities. You ensure that our unique selling points (USPs) are visible to the right target audience through the right channels. Together with the sales team, you make sure that potential customers have already heard of us – and are curious when we reach out. You work closely with management and the sales team, manage external service providers, and develop scalable marketing processes for lead generation and brand building.

You are a sparring partner at eye level, bringing strategic clarity, structure, and priorities to our marketing work – and you’re not afraid to ask the tough questions when needed.

Activities

Strategic

  • Develop and maintain a marketing strategy in close coordination with management
  • Translate our value proposition into compelling stories and content
  • Build and maintain a content and communication strategy
  • Manage external resources (e.g., design, PR agency)
  • Build and nurture partnerships, media contacts, and community relationships to strengthen visibility and reputation
  • Create sales collateral and marketing materials to support the sales process
  • Oversee and further develop the company website
  • Define and optimize the customer journey together with sales
  • Conduct data-driven analysis and reporting of marketing activities, and derive measures for improvement

Operational

  • Shape and manage the interface between marketing and sales
  • Build automated lead generation and nurturing processes (e.g., using HubSpot)
  • Plan and manage lead generation campaigns and continuously optimize their performance
  • Support demo booking, conversion, and pipeline activities
  • Independently create and coordinate communication content (e.g., social media, blog posts, newsletters)
  • Gather and prepare internal information for marketing purposes
  • Manage and oversee external projects (PR, design, editorial)
  • Activate the team for social media: motivate colleagues to contribute to our online presence, plan joint posts, and regularly remind them of shareable content to multiply our reach

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in B2B marketing for complex, high-explanation SaaS products
  • Knowledge of sustainability topics (CO₂ accounting, ESG, Supply Chain Act, etc.) is an advantage
  • Ability to bridge strategy and execution – you can develop marketing plans and implement them yourself
  • Strong skills in content creation (writing, storytelling, social media)
  • Strong project management skills: you coordinate external service providers efficiently and effectively
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (ideally HubSpot or similar)
  • Independent, structured, and proactive working style
  • Seniority to act as a sparring partner for management and drive topics forward
  • Clear, engaging writing style and a good sense of tone for professional audiences
  • Curiosity and initiative – you take ownership and enjoy testing new approaches
  • Language: English and German are essential

Team

You will join our Business Development Team, reporting to the Head of Business Development. On the team are several Account Executives, one person taking care of Sales Operations, and your role. You will also interface very regularly with our Product Management team on topics like personas, ICP's and communication on new products.
