Senior Developer, PHP / Laravel / Vue (m/w/d)

Our product supports macOS users in navigating their device and installed applications, guiding them through context aware tutorials and helping them to troubleshoot IT issues.
At the core of our product is a Laravel backend that serves as a hub for our platform – connecting our Electron.js based macOS app with third party services like Azure hosted LLMs and vector databases.
We are not looking for someone to “support development.” We are looking for someone who wants to build the core of a company.

Activities
- From system design to production operations, you take responsibility for what goes live — and how it performs. You build secure integrations with external platforms (Azure, OpenAI APIs, and more), ensure reliable data flows and resilient system boundaries.
- You master your stack: You build, test, ship, run, and improve your features, an excellent user experience is your top priority.
Requirements
We particularly value:
- At least 4 years of experience as a full-stack developer in a production environment
- Strong hands-on expertise in Laravel (or another modern PHP framework), Vue.js, and modern API development.
- A passion for and extensive experience in testing, ideally with Pest
- Strong MySQL expertise
- Experience with system integrations, AI-related standards or services, and solid knowledge of the web stack (e.g., nginx).
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, Docker, and monitoring/alerting tools.
- Working style: pragmatic, structured, test- and data-driven. You take ownership, reduce complexity, and focus on delivery. You pay attention to detail and thrive implementing high-quality user interfaces.
- Team mindset: open, constructive, quality-oriented, and motivated to build something meaningful.
It's a plus if you have experience and/or sharable projects with following technologies:
- Electron
- (Azure) OpenAI
- Quadrant DB
- Arize Phoenix or comparable AI observability tooling
- Swift Lang
- Tailwind CSS
Team
We are currently building our development team as we scale in the coming months, offering a unique opportunity to join at a formative stage. You will contribute directly to shaping the product roadmap in collaboration with the lead developer, our dedicated UX/UI designer, and the founders.
To ensure a seamless integration into the macOS ecosystem, our team of experienced IT consultants brings deep expertise in managing Apple devices within enterprise environments.
Application Process
- A brief initial call (30-60 minutes) with our lead developer and a one of the managing directors will help us assess whether your technical expertise match our requirements
- To better assess your way of working, you will receive a small coding task that you will complete independently and then discuss in a short call with our lead developer.
- Following that, you will have a personal meeting with the three managing directors in our Berlin office within a few days, or alternatively as a video call.
- If everything goes well, we can finalize the contracts
