Scientific Program Lead Quantum Computing (m/f/d)
positions with focus on experimental, theoretical or computational quantum information processing.
How you can support us:
You will coordinate programs and consortia working on quantum computing platforms (mainly superconducting qubits and neutral atoms), high performance computing systems and use-cases, or quantum computer algorithms and theory.
You will align with the scientific advisors of the MQV on current and future research directions and work with the MQV teams to ensure technological progress.
You will establish and maintain close relationships with research institutions, universities, and industry partners.
You will closely monitor and steer programs and consortia to ensure the achievement of milestones and research goals, e.g. via regular site-visits.
You will document and report progress and challenges to leadership and plan corrective actions in alignment with all stakeholders.
You will monitor scientific and technological progress in the field, e.g. at international conferences and workshops, and evaluate the commercial market to shape and adjust the goals and milestones of the MQV.
You will support the strategic positioning of the MQV in upcoming projects at the state, federal and European level and support grant applications.
Your qualifications:
You hold a doctoral degree in Natural Sciences with specialization on Quantum Information Processing.
You have several years of experience in either experimental, theoretical or computational quantum information science.
You have a deep understanding of current developments, science and market trends, and applications in the field of quantum technologies.
You have proven experience in the management and control of research projects.
You, ideally, have experience in the acquisition of third-party funding.
You have excellent communication and organizational skills, high self-motivation, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
You ideally have a good knowledge of project management software and relevant tools.
You have good command of English and German, written and spoken.
