The Max Planck Computing and Data Facility (MPCDF), based at the research campus Garching near Munich, Germany, is a competence centre of the Max Planck Society (MPG). The MPCDF operates large supercomputers comprised of more than 10,000 nodes and storage systems hosting data of several hundred petabytes, both online on discs and offline on tape media.
A stable, scalable and high performance network infrastructure enabling scientists all around the globe to access aforementioned systems is key to MPCDF's success.

Network Engineers (m/f/d)
Job Code: 06/2025As part of our network team, the applicants will be responsible for the development and operation of MPCDF's network infrastructure. Within our team, you will ensure that our core network and firewall systems operate in a secure, stable and well-performing manner. Using in-depth information gathered from proactive monitoring tools, combined with feedback from our partners located at other institutions of the MPG in Germany, you will contribute to further extensions of our systems – both in terms of hardware expansion and design evolution.
