Job

As Key Account Sales Executive, your primary focus is on generating new customers within the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). You sit at the table of large and well-known organisations, such as multinationals and public bodies, where large scale and complexity come together. You play a central role in the sales process, following up leads, analysing customer challenges and successfully closing deals.

As a true hunter, you are focused on developing new business. This includes:

  • Following up leads: Actively following up leads provided by marketing and SDRs, as well as making relevant connections with Key Accounts yourself;

  • Identifying problems: Discovering and analysing access management pain points together with customers and stakeholders;

  • Storytelling: Communicating the broader Nedap Access story convincingly so that customers understand the value of our solutions;

  • Taking charge: Leading the entire process, from Discovery to contracting. Engage domain experts (such as Solution Consultants) at the right times to gain trust and move the deal forward;

  • Prioritising: Create focus by working on promising deals with strategic value. Identify key stakeholders and win them over to our solution;

  • Clear communication: Update the team and executives on deal progress and ask for support where needed. Capturing all appointments and deal information in HubSpot (CRM) and managing the pipeline accurately

Experience and skills

  • At least 5 years' experience in sales, preferably in selling (software) services (subscriptions) and complex solutions;

  • A real hunter's mentality: you get energy from winning new customers;

  • Fluent in German and English; other languages such as Dutch are an advantage;

  • Excellent communication skills and strong personal skills;

  • Perseverance and creativity to successfully complete long sales processes;

  • Affinity with consultative selling and team-player.

You will become part of our Market-Solutions Team within our business unit Security with colleagues operating both from our headquarters and remotely from different parts of Europe. This team includes commercial professionals along the entire customer journey. That is, Marketing, SDR, Sales, Solution Consultants and Customer Success. The Market-Solutions Team is led by our Market-Solutions Director and is responsible for winning new Key Accounts and growing our business with existing Key Accounts.

Within the team, you will be part of the subgroup of Sales Executives that focuses on winning new Key Accounts. You will be coached by our Sales Director, with whom you will have weekly contact about ongoing projects.
Communication with team members can take place both in the office and online. We meet as a team at least several times a year to exchange experiences, celebrate successes and discuss plans and progress.
