Tasks

Purpose of the role

Focus on acquiring and managing key clients, developing customized energy solutions, and contributing directly to business growth. We are seeking a proactive individual who excels at identifying client needs and providing effective solutions to meet such client needs based on a deep understanding of the product portfolio of MET Germany. In this dynamic environment, you will have the unique opportunity to customize solutions across a wide range of products for key account sales on the German market

Essential responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition; identify and secure key accounts in the industrial and renewable sectors, focusing on energy solutions (power and natural gas) tailored to their needs. This also includes managing relationships with energy advisors and consultants through whom leads are generated.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. This includes ongoing regarding price fixings etc.

  • Collaborate with clients to design and deliver innovative energy products and services.

  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the sales approach and strategies for key accounts in an agile go-to-market approach ("design – try – scale or drop”)

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to refine sales approaches.

  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that support both client and company goals.

  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market insights to senior management.

  • Representing the company at client meetings, industry conferences, and various events to promote its products, services, and brand image.

Profile

  • At least 3 years of sales experience working for a power and/or natural gas supplier

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving business development in competitive markets

  • Demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships and deliver innovative solutions to clients

  • Familiarity with digital tools and sales automation to enhance efficiency and client engagement

  • A proactive mindset with a passion for creating and shaping new opportunities in an agile environment

  • Fluency in German and communication level in English
