We’re looking for a Junior Governance & Compliance Manager who enjoys bringing structure into complex environments and making sure things run cleanly, traceable, and regulator-ready. This role is ideal for someone with early experience in governance, compliance, risk, or regulatory operations, who likes keeping order in place and working closely with senior stakeholders.

You will work closely with our control functions (Compliance, Risk, Information Security), helping operationalise governance and compliance processes across outsourcing, ICT risk, and internal controls. We will support you in building deeper regulatory expertise — but a solid understanding of basic regulatory and risk concepts is required.

Your tasks

• Support and coordinate the Outsourcing & ICT Risk lifecycle, including new vendor setups, changes, periodic reviews, and documentation tracking
• Conduct structured pre-checks and support risk assessments by collecting and monitoring required documentation
• Maintain governance registers and documentation (e.g., contracts, SLAs, risk assessments, exit plans) in a complete and audit-ready state
• Coordinate governance input within the New Product Process (NPP) to ensure risk and compliance checks are initiated and documented early
• Support quarterly governance reviews by tracking open items and follow-ups across risk and compliance processes
• Prepare structured materials for management and regulatory reporting, ensuring documentation quality and consistency
• Maintain transparency and traceability across governance processes through clear documentation and tracking
• Structure and maintain governance spaces in Confluence, ensuring clarity, version control, and accessibility
• Track governance-related tasks in Jira, including audit items, remediation actions, and cross-functional follow-ups

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment (e.g., financial services, fintech, risk, audit, IT governance, legal, or data protection).
• Foundational understanding of regulatory and risk concepts (e.g., ZAG-MaRisk, GDPR, DORA, financial regulation in general). Practical exposure is a plus; deeper expertise will be built on the job.
• Experience working with structured documentation and workflow tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar ticket-based systems).
• Strong documentation skills with attention to detail and a structured working style.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); professional working proficiency in German is highly valued.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple parallel topics in a reliable manner.
• Curious, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset — comfortable asking questions and learning in a fast-moving environment.
• Collaborative and constructive communicator who works well across functions without being judgmental or rigid.
• Berlin-based (or willing to relocate), with hybrid presence preferred.
