Head of Sales Engineering (m/f/d)
Your Mission: Bridge Tech and Sales to Win New Markets
We’re looking for our first Head of Sales Engineering to build and lead the Sales Engineering function at voize. You thrive at the intersection of technology and sales and you’re excited to set the foundation: processes, playbooks, demo setup, technical validation and how we run pilots end-to-end.
In the beginning, you’ll be highly hands-on and act as the go-to expert in pre-sales: discovery, solution design, and demos. As we scale, you’ll hire, develop, and lead a Sales Engineering team, and make Sales Engineering a core driver of our growth.

Activities
Your Daily Business – No two days are alike
- Build Sales Engineering at voize (0→1): define processes, playbooks, and standards for discovery, demos, technical validation, and pilots
- Build and lead the Sales Engineering team over time: hire, onboard, and coach Sales Engineers as demand grows
- Work with AEs in (enterprise) pre-sales, run discovery calls, and deliver clear, tailored demos
- Own technical validation: lead deep dives, set success criteria, and run pilot/Proof-of-Value projects from setup to results
- Be the technical contact for customers: answer product, integration, privacy, and security questions; complete RFP/RFI and security questionnaires
- Shape simple configurations and integrations that fit customer workflows; keep demo environments reliable and ready
- Co-own accounts and plans with sales; build trust with IT leaders, care providers, and decision-makers; represent voize at key meetings and events
- Partner with Product and Customer Success to turn feedback into rollout plans, better docs, and a smooth onboarding
- Improve how we work: create clear documentation, playbooks, and customer-friendly content; help scale our technical sales approach
- Support partnerships: assess technical fit, enable partners, co-run joint pilots/POVs, and help with partner integrations and certificationss.
Requirements
- Your Skillset – What you bring to the table
- 5+ Years Experience in Sales/Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales; comfortable owning the technical side of deals end-to-end
- Experience leading a team
- Excellent communicator (German C2 & English): you explain technical topics clearly to business and IT
- Strong at discovery, storytelling, and presenting; great at turning needs into simple solutions
- Background in software engineering, information system or a technical degree with solid grasp of AI, integrations, APIs, security & privacy basics
- Doer mentality: high ownership and urgency; you unblock issues fast
- Collaborative with AEs, Product, and CS: You keep everyone aligned
- Willingness to travel to customers and conferences
- Nice to have: experience in healthcare/hospitals;
