Financial Accountant (all genders)
We are looking for a Financial Accountant (all genders) with a strong generalist background in accounting and solid experience in month-end and year-end closing processes to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working across the full spectrum of accounting tasks — from G/L activities and closing procedures to supporting Accounts Payable when needed.
You should have experience contributing to the preparation of financial statements under HGB (and ideally IFRS). The ability to independently prepare financial statements is a strong plus, though not a strict requirement. We are particularly interested in candidates who feel confident in core accounting processes and are motivated to further strengthen their expertise across all areas, including occasional hands-on AP tasks.
Given our lean structure, this position goes far beyond a single-focus role. You will actively contribute to closing activities, reporting, and the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems. This makes the role especially attractive for candidates who enjoy taking ownership, value variety in their day-to-day work, and are eager to grow within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

- Manage a broad range of operational and closing-related accounting activities, including occasional support in Accounts Payable to ensure smooth end-to-end processing
- Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS
- Maintain, reconcile, and analyze general ledger and sub-ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation
- Handle key accounting topics such as provisions, accruals, and other closing-related entries, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
- Perform balance sheet and P&L analyses, prepare meaningful comments, and contribute to high-quality financial reporting
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, contribute to the enhancement of internal controls, and support automation initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional process and system optimization projects, including SAP-related improvements
- Collaborate closely with Treasury, Controlling, and other internal stakeholders on reporting and finance-related matters
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and contribute to group reporting activities
- Act as a reliable point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders during audits and financial reviews
Profil
- Degree in Business Administration or completed commercial training with a relevant further qualification
- Several years of experience in financial accounting with a strong general ledger focus and solid involvement in monthly and annual closing activities; openness to supporting AP tasks as part of a well-rounded accounting role
- Certification as Financial Accountant (IHK) or Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) is an advantage; alternatively, a clear intention to work toward such a qualification in the near future is equally welcome
- Experience in supporting or preparing financial statements under HGB and ideally IFRS
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including provisions, accruals, and basic tax-related topics
- Confident user of SAP, ideally S/4HANA
- Structured, analytical mindset combined with a hands-on, reliable, and solution-oriented working style
- Interest in working in a dynamic environment with flat hierarchies and a high degree of ownership
- Good English skills, both written and spoken; German skills are a strong advantage

- Mobile office regulation of 40% per week
- 30 days of vacation, extended with possible unpaid vacation days; afternoon off on your own birthday
- Open doors and room for your own ideas in a friendly, modern working environment
- Further education and training opportunities
- Company bicycle leasing (business bike) and company fitness (EGYM Wellpass)
- Central office location with direct access to public transportation
- Extraordinary company celebrations, team events and sporting events
