Director Business Development EMEA (m/w/d) – OEM, Licensing & Strategic Supply Partnerships in Protein Technologies

We are seeking a Director of Business Development EMEA for our client, a leading provider of life science tools and protein technologies for research, diagnostics, and biotech applications, to start as soon as possible. Drive regional growth through OEM, white-label, and licensing deals with biotech companies, kit manufacturers (e.g., Thermo Fisher, Bio-Techne), and diagnostics partners—independent of traditional pharmaceutical deals.

Aufgaben

• Developing the EMEA strategy for the OEM and licensing business, with a focus on protein technology, assays, and reagents.
• Identifying and securing new partnerships with biotech companies, diagnostics firms, and kit manufacturers (e.g., integrating your proteins into their kits or white-label products).
• Conducting C-level negotiations on complex supply agreements and licensing deals.
• Managing revenue, pipeline, and margins in collaboration with global product management and sales teams.
• In parallel with revenue growth, building and leading a regional business development team.

Profil

You hold a master's degree (or ideally a PhD) in biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, life sciences, or a comparable scientific field.

You typically have a background in the biotech or life science tools sector (e.g., Thermo Fisher, Sartorius, Bio-Techne) and bring the following to the table:

• 10-15+ years of business development experience in OEM/licensing deals with biotech, diagnostics, or biopharma companies (e.g., protein integration into kits).
• Proven track record of success with white-label, strategic supply, or co-labeling contracts for proteins, antibodies, or assays.
• Technical expertise in life science technologies (proteins, assays, reagents).
• C-level network in EMEA biotech and an entrepreneurial mindset for hands-on market expansion.

Motivated BD managers with 5+ years of OEM experience in life science tools are also welcome—with ambition for leadership roles.
