As a senior Devops Engineer role you will maintain cutting-edge infrastructure solutions across cloud environments and clients, with a focus on Azure and AWS. You'll work to ensure seamless, reliable operations through automation, container orchestration, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines, while championing security, compliance, and observability best practices
Activities
- Participate in Solution Design - Collaborate closely with architects and developers on overall solution design on both PoC and large-scale Azure and AWS solutions to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure that meets both business and technical requirements.
- Automate Workflows - Design and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Bash, Python) and leverage configuration management tools (Helm, Terraform, etc) to reduce manual effort.
- Champion Best Practices - Ensure security and compliance by following best practices, meeting regulatory standards, and configuring essential networking (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN). Foster a culture of continuous improvement by refining DevOps processes, enhancing reliability engineering, and optimizing deployment strategies.
- Stay Current - Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and cloud services, evaluating and integrating tools that enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Communicate & Document - Clearly document technical implementations, workflows, and project details for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Mentorship - Partner with cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical solutions, and guide engineers in DevOps best practices.
Requirements
You're passionate about cloud computing, infrastructure automation, and continuous deployment. You’ve built enough infrastructure that you can demonstrate your ability to be an independent problem solver and can collaborate effectively with your team and external stakeholders. While you may not have mastered everything detailed below, you possess a majority of the following skills:
- Self-driven and curious, with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to learning and improvement..
- Are a fan of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and repeatable deployments -- whatever it takes to keep things consistent across all stages.
- Have a strong command of DevOps tools and processes, from automated CI/CD pipelines to container orchestration. You know how to build robust, scalable pipelines that developers love and you know how to debug them when something (inevitably) fails.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to reliability and observability. You've seen quick fixes turn into core infrastructure, and you know how to implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, etc) to prevent having to fix something in the middle of the night.
- Understand the importance of collaboration and clear communication, working with cross-functional teams to champion best-in-class DevOps practices throughout the organization.
Team
Contiamo is a premier consulting firm that brings together an interdisciplinary team of senior experts in data science, data engineering, mathematics, business consulting, and change management.
Our culture thrives on fast iterations and a high-trust environment where everyone is given significant responsibility. We believe in the power of a supportive atmosphere, valuing both individual contributions and the joy of teamwork.
As a small company, you will report directly to the CTO, and work closely with all engineers across the organization and with teams at other companies. When working with a client, you will be embedded in a smaller project team responsible for ensuring success of the engagement.
