DevOps Engineer (f/m/d)

Position Overview: We're seeking a Software DevOps Engineer with good expertise building and maintaining infrastructure as code. This role is perfect for a technical leader who thrives on system optimization, values collaborative teamwork, and takes ownership of delivering high-quality solutions.

Tasks

• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code, fostering a GitOps culture for automated, version-controlled, and trackable infrastructure changes
• Design and manage cloud infrastructure for distributed systems, ensuring scalability to handle millions of records and users efficiently
• Set up and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and ensure continuous integration and delivery
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure real-time insights and proactive issue resolution, maintaining system health and performance
• Work closely with domain experts, the editorial team, and development teams in an agile environment, benefiting from a collaborative network that supports you through technical challenges

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or related technical roles
• Strong passion for learning and continuous improvement in fast-evolving technologies
• Experience with infrastructure automation and building systems that enhance scalability and reliability
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems, with ability to work in complex, high-availability environments
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform preferred) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred); knowledge of Cloudflare and GitLab is a plus
• Collaborative mindset - you enjoy working in teams, sharing knowledge, and helping colleagues grow
• Very good written and spoken German and English
