In this controlling role, you will be responsible for precise financial and KPI reporting to international stakeholders, working closely with teams in numerous countries. You'll gain expertise to all financial processes, from budgeting and forecasting to M&A activities, while actively contributing to cost control and process improvements. Activities
- Reporting on Financial and non Financial KPIs, tailored to your area of Business, to a variety of stakeholders (Management Team, Utimaco Management Meeting, Board, Banks, Investors, Senior Operational Managers).
- Topics include (but are not limited to): Sales, Revenues, Costs, Investments, CAPEX, exceptionals, FTEs, Cash-Flows, Balance Sheet Posts, EBITDA, Performance Measurements and other Operational KPIs.
- Responsibility with the other Controllers for the Budgeting and Forecasting activities, and the enquiries into the causes of the Variances.
- Working with the Consolidation Team and the other controllers to define the Worldwide Reporting Calendar. Planning the work accordingly to achieve the reporting deadlines.
- Good cooperation with the other controllers, the Consolidation Team, the many Local finance Teams (in nearly a dozen countries), Accounts Receivables, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Tax, Legal and the CFO team.
- Improve Cost Controls with the implementation of a DOA (Delegation of Authority)
- Improvements to Processes & Controls (e.g. implement an Inter-co cleaning Process, working with the Local Finance Teams).
- Many Ad hoc projects and analyses
Requirements
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting or finance, further accounting trainings are welcome. A Master’s degree a plus.
- In your career to date of at least 5 years, you have focused on Financial Controls including Budget, Forecasts and variance analysis.
- You are familiar with common ERP, consolidation and BI systems, ideally SAP, LucaNet and Power-BI.
- Your Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills are advanced.
- You are highly organized, demonstrate both flexibility and an eagerness to meet tight deadlines.
- You are self motivated and want to be a strong team-player within an international environment.
- You can communicate with ease in German and English, in presence or in writing.
- Experience with M&A activities a plus.
