My client is hiring a Linux System Engineer to support and scale modern infrastructure systems in a high-performance, international team. You’ll combine hands-on Linux system administration with cutting-edge DevOps practices, helping to build and automate a robust and secure environment for our applications and services.
This is a hybrid role based in Leipzig, Germany, with a strong focus on ownership, collaboration, and long-term impact.
Tasks
What You’ll Do

Manage and develop server infrastructure (physical servers & ESXi)

Maintain and expand monitoring systems (Prometheus, Grafana)

Configure and administer databases (primarily MySQL)
-
Develop and maintain self-hosted Kubernetes clusters
-
Automate recurring processes using Ansible and scripting

Support developers through DevOps/SRE practices

Collaborate with the security team to implement protective measures
Profile
What We’re Looking For

Degree or equivalent training in Computer Science or related field

Deep experience with Linux

Proficiency in Docker, networking, and monitoring tools

MySQL database administration experience
-
Experience with automation/configuration tools (e.g., Ansible)

Solid scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python)
