Senior Engineer Electromechanical (m/w/d)

As a Senior Engineer Electromechanical, you are responsible for executing the technical development and support all R&D aspects in complex development and for sustaining projects supporting Eaton's residential protection devices business.

You are responsible for defining and specifying robust and proven technical solutions from concept development, design and test through industrialization and certification in alignment with other major organizational stakeholders such as Product Management, Manufacturing, Supply Management, Business Development, etc.

Your key deliverables:

   
• Conceptualize, specify, develop and validate electromechanical designs for circuit protection devices based on product standards and customer needs, as well as functional manufacturability & cost targets
   
• Develop robust concepts and specifications in aligned with customer requirements
   
• Support effort planning of design engineering task
   
• Execute technical design and development tasks
   
• Cooperate with internal / external development teams
   
• Utilize appropriate tools and methods (simulation, DFSS, …) throughout the design cycle and sustaining engineering tasks
   
• Design, plan, set up, conduct, document, and reviews development tests
   
• Secure compliance of technical solutions with internal and external standards and regulations
   
• Provide and maintain complete engineering documentation using Eaton tools and systems
   
• Support project issue resolution activities
   
• Resolve technical design issues and deliver optimal solutions with respect to function, manufacturability and cost
   
• Act as Mentor for Junior Engineers and functionally leads & supervises technicians & drafters
   
• Act as an expert in product technology and provide technical support and guidance to other functions such as Product Management, Quality and Manufacturing

Do you have?

Required:

   
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar education
   
• Strong related experience in Electromechanical / Electrical development
   
• In-depth experience in designing modules products and systems for Miniature Circuit Breakers or similar products
   
• Solid knowledge in electromechanical design
   
• Experience with simulation tools and DFSS methods
   
• Proven project management experience and functional leadership skillset
   
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
   
• Self-motivation and ability to inspire others
   
• Good communication skillset
   
• Readiness to work in cross-functional and international teams

The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on training, qualifications and professional experience, is from EUR 37,500 gross annually.
