You are an experienced manager in software development and looking for a new professional challenge?

Take your chance and support IU International University immediately on a full- or part-time basis at our location in Munich or remotely throughout Germany as 'Engineering Manager (m/f/d)' and drive the further development of our teams.

• Develop and maintain a healthy culture of trust, ownership, and collaboration through servant leadership

• Shape a sustainable team setup and org structure in your department in close collaboration with the responsible director

• Enable the engineers in your teams to perform at their best and support them with their career development by inspiring them to take on new challenges and grow

• Develop a hiring plan and acquire new talents to further grow your teams following the maxim “hire for attitude, train for skills”

• Ensure high team productivity and delivery of business value to multiple stakeholders in close collaboration with our product and agile leaders

• Promote cross-team collaboration and create and maintain strong working relationships across the border of your department

• Organize and contribute to cross-functional meetings and events such as Tech Talks

• Be advocate for continuous improvement, technical and operational excellence within the engineering community

• Represent our mission, culture and encourage inclusion & diversity

• Several years of experience in forming and managing large-scale software development teams

• Experience in developing, coaching and mentoring software developers

• Empathy and profound people skills as well as the ability to inspire your teams

• Team player with strong organizational and communication skills in German and English

• Excellent knowledge of and interest in modern web technologies

• Experience in working in agile and multi-stakeholder environments

• A versatile and responsible job with a lot of room for creativity in a collegial atmosphere
