As Application Engineer, International Sales and Business Development, you will be responsible for supporting target industrial and commercial construction segments. You will work with the country sales organizations & segment teams across Europe, Middle East and Africa region to drive customer specifications by providing the pre-sales and specification support, primarily for IEC Low Voltage assemblies. You will provide the needed customer application and specification expertise driving specification of Eaton solutions, support the pre-sales phases and manage the Request For Quotation (RFQ) answers for the defined segments at the regional level. This role may be based in either one of the following locations: Vienna/Austria, Ankara/Turkey or Istanbul/Turkey Your key deliverables: Responsible for supporting sales organizations and panel builder partners with detailed technical and commercial discussions around the customer application requirements. Capture market needs and requirements through voice of customer Understand and promote the capabilities, benefits and competitive advantages of Eaton Drive the tendering business by providing system design assistance and application support and quotation Optimize customer designs by supporting with product selection, layouts, competitive comparisons, elevation drawings and system configuration Gather and collect the market and customer needs and provide input for the segment roadmap and strategic planning Host designer/customer events to identify and capture sales opportunities Contribute to marketing activities including development of marketing materials, customer and channel communication, as well as trade shows and conference activities Support management with key data and insights on market dynamics, target opportunity status, and key tactics being employed to effectively capture new business opportunities Build new customer relationships and expand existing ones resulting in a healthy pipeline of future opportunities. Understand the competitive environment and leverage that knowledge to position the company appropriately in the marketplace. Master Eaton’s product portfolio in MV/LV Assemblies and software tools including Bid Manager to provide quick response times Provide order management support as required, leveraging local and regional teams #LI-ID1 Qualifications Are you? Required: University degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5-7 years’ related experience in a sales support or application engineering role within the industry, with a techno-commercial focus Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications Strong knowledge of IEC MV and LV Assembly products and applications (including IEC designs) Highly structured in answering RFQ and tenders and keeping deadlines Able to build collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues Able to select markets, customers and segments, selling value capabilities A mind for data-driven marketing, knowledge in Project Management Capability to set priorities and respect deadline Strong capability of working in a group Curious about MV/LV assemblies’ trends in the targeted segments Passion for using and learning technology Sharing and consuming ideas Understanding the importance of a project environment Eagerly using technology for creating, sharing, and measuring ideas Focus on engaging customers to drive revenue Fluent speaking and writing in English Travel requirements (25 to 50% of the time) Then we want to hear about you!
