Senior Manager of Strategic Market Development (f/m)

The Senior Manager of Strategic Market Development is responsible for implementing global marketing strategies to increase adoption of RPCs, defend market share, and drive preference for IFCO vs. competitors. This position is responsible for managing marketing projects of global scope, including development of global communications, marketing collateral, and digital properties for implementation by regional marketing teams. This position works across markets and functions to understand business priorities in order to localize the global marketing strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

Marketing Strategy

  • Manages key projects pertaining to the implementation of IFCO's brand strategy in all countries of operation
  • Responsible for management of strategic budget items
  • Manages agency partners for strategic marketing projects
  • Develops new RPC merchandising solutions for retailers to enable growth of core RPC business in all regions
  • Develops and oversees market implementation strategy for new merchandising solutions
  • Manages IFCO's innovation projects in coordination with Brambles Innovation team, helping specific project managers attain the resources necessary to conduct projects and facilitating communications between Brambles Innovation team and IFCO leadership
Global Communications
  • Manages development and oversees localization of global marketing collateral
  • Drafts global communications, including press releases and customer communications
  • Manages global web properties and social media strategy
Digital Strategy
  • Align digital strategy with company brand, marketing and communications goals
  • Ensure consistency of digital content with all other marketing channels
  • Continuous improvement of company websites, including usability, design, and content
  • Developing and managing global digital marketing strategy
  • Manage global social media strategy and implementation
  • Development of global content marketing program
  • Evaluate market research and competitor digital presence to inform digital strategy
  • Monitor company's online reputation
  • Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business (or related field) required
  • 5+ years of experience of applicable marketing or business development experience
  • Retail, produce, packaging, or related industry experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of produce, packaging, and supply chain management industries
  • Able to interact effectively with personnel at all levels and in all disciplines from Executive level down, both internally and externally, and to develop strong internal networks is essential
  • Complex project management expertise
  • Strong written communication, presentation, and time management skills
  • Adaptable and able to work well across multiple departments and within cross-functional teams and divisions
  • Knowledge of global business practices
  • English, German
  • Willingness to travel (up to 30% travel, domestic and international)
